My Kid’s Favorite Butter Noodle Recipe

Description

If your kids aren’t the most adventurous eaters, our Favorite Butter Noodle Recipe is sure to be a winner! Make sure to cook extra though, because adults love these delicious Butter Noodles too.  They are a simple classic recipe that go well as a main dish or side dish. You probably already have all the ingredients on hand so they’re great for a last minute, easy dinner!


Ingredients

  • 16 oz noodles, you can use your favorite noodles, bite sized or spaghetti will work
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter*
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce, I use low sodium
  • Salt, to taste
  • Fresh herbs for garnish, if desired

Instructions

  1. Fill a large pot with water and place of medium-high heat on the stove.  Once water is boiling, add your pasta and cook according to package directions.  Feel free to add a big pinch of salt to the water, if desired.
  2. Once pasta is finished cooking, drain well and add back to the pot.  Add in the butter and soy sauce and turn the heat on low.  Stir together well until the butter has completely melted and then cook pasta until there isn’t really any liquid (from the butter and soy sauce) left in the bottom of the pan.
  3. Season with salt, to taste and enjoy!  You can garnish with fresh herbs if your child allows that 🙂

Notes

My ingredient measurements are just suggestions, feel free to use less or more of any ingredients you like.

*You can use either salted or unsalted butter, but if you use salted butter, you might want to adjust the amount of soy sauce and salt.
