I can’t believe this is my first smoothie recipe on here! Truth be told, up until a few months ago I wasn’t a huge smoothie person. Not that I don’t like them, but for some reason I just didn’t make them that often. I’ve always eaten pretty healthy and made sure to include fruits, vegetables and protein in my diet, but lately I’ve been much more diligent about it.
The fruits and vegetables have been going great, but I’ve recently realized that i don’t think I’m getting quite as much protein as I should be (70-100 grams for pregnant women!). My amazing nutritionist friends from work have been giving me lots of tips and I’ve found that smoothies are a great way to get lots of protein in my diet, as well as fruits and vegetables!
I usually do a green smoothie thanks to some kale or spinach, but today I’m all about the Blueberries! They give this smoothie such great color and who doesn’t love blueberries?! The blueberries also go really well with the kick of lemon I’ve added in here that will help to wake you up in the morning!

Whoa — 70-100 grams is crazy! I definitely don’t get that in a day… or anywhere close! Even when I was pregnant. Lol. I love smoothies though, so maybe this is just what I need to get the job done š

Ahhh I really love blueberries in a smoothie. The purple color in these pictures is so gorgeous and I love that you added lemon too. And so glad you’re posting smoothies. š I imagine now that you’ve started on smoothies, they’ll be very appealing given the heat where you live. The greek yogurt does give a good protein boost. I also love adding nut butter and hemp seeds to my smoothie. Hope you’re progressing well and feeling good Izzy!
